Problem 1
Consider the quarter car model shown in the figure. The
differential equations for this model are given by
M1 &y&1 + (b1 + b2 ) y&1 + (k1 + k2 ) y1 = b1x& + k1x + b2 y& 2 + k2 y2 (1)
M2 &y&2 + b2 y& 2 + k2 y2 = b2 y&1 + k2 y1 − f (2)
Using Laplace Transformation, complete the block diagram
given below by filling in the boxes with the corresponding
expression. In your solution show all the steps of your
calculations.
