K6 - 700 Watt Audio Amplifier and Switching Power Supply
This is our ultimate no-compromise amplifier, comfortable from home theatre to sound re-enforcement - top audiophile quality sonic performance combined with innovative design. The FET amplifier capable of delivering up to 500 watts per channel is complimented by an off-line switching power supply which greatly reduces weight and bulk, while improving performance. The basic stereo design is further augmented with a range of features: Differential input capability, bridging, clipping detection, DC offset and over temperature sensing and shutdown, and over current limiting. The amplifier is designed to be housed in either a 3-1/2" high unit with fans for sound reinforcement applications, or in a 5-1/4" high form factor with natural convection cooling for home use. And either one weighs in at just 18 pounds!

This kit was featured as the cover article for the November 1995 issue of Electronics Now magazine, and is available in the form of key and hard to find components, and full amp and power supply sub-assembly kits. Soon, full kits, and assembled and tested sub-assemblies will also be available. Printed circuit boards are of the highest quality MIL Spec glass epoxy, with plated through holes and silk screened parts placement and solder mask
