PIC R/C Accucharger
We (I and Kristian Rosendahl have made a small accucharger for R/C accu's. It has the following features:
It can charge NiCd, NiMh and LiIon accus.
It has 10 memories for different type of accus
"Programming" is made with ordinary PC via se-ri-@l port (eg. normal "Teraterm" or similar terminal-program will do fine for setting up the charger)
It can stop charge based on voltage, overtemperature or overtime
In future versions, it will have capability to charge 2 accus simultaneously, eg. it will have 2 "charge-stations". (For now, there is only 1 "charge-station" in software. Hardware supports 2 stations already.)
It has LCD-display where user can watch as charge-process goes on. It shows time, temperature, accu-voltage and cumulated mAh charged so far
The heart of system is PIC16F876-microprocessor. The controllers memory is almost full (typically 98%), so before any new features can be introduced, I must get more memory available by tightening up the code... Code is been made in CCS-C and in this time, it's commented in Finnish only. Later revisions will be commented in English. I'm releasing this so soon because general Open Source method is to "Release soon, release often" and I'm hoping that it will be useful for someone already.
