1 - Introduction
As a Bilkent University Computer Science student I have taken a variety of qualified and theoretical lectures which i have not got a chance to practically experience my knowledge until my first summer training. In general, the goal of the summer training activity is to get control of the topics of the lectures practically. Also it is a great opportunity to experience the joblife.
I have completed my summer training in Havelsan A.S, which is a Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Organization which is an important company in this branch in Turkey(detailed information about the company is given in next parts of the report.) My summer training took 4 weeks to complete which started in 15.08.2005 and completed in 09.09.2005. I have experienced several projects which are related to the projectes that Havelsan is currently designing. First of the projects was to have information about “Socket Programming”. We tried to settle up a server which is based on JAVA platforms. Second project was to design a program in OpenGL, which is based on C# and C++. Last project is the project we managed to complete on our own. So this was the main project that we spent most of our times on.
The section that I worked in my summer training is a group called MELTEM. MELTEM group is a project group that is dealing with the design and implementation of Mission Systems that are used by Turkish Naval Command and Coast Guard Command’s CN-235 aircrafts.
This was a brief introduction of what I have done in my summer training and the company that I worked. Following chapters contain detailed information of the company, everything that is been observed by me and detailed information about the projects that I have attended.

Normalde ingilizce döküman eklenmesi yasak ama staj defterleri için bu yasağı kaldırsak iyi olucak.
